Endangered Species
What is causing species to become endangered?
The tundra is vital to our earth because of the amount of ice it contains. Due to global warming, the habitat for many of the tundra's animals is depleting, which means that many of it's species are endangered. As the layer of permafrost that covers the tundra's soil is melting, the tundra is shrinking significantly. The tundra is also the most affected by human population, and it's also the most vital biome in keeping Earth's temperature stable. The most commonly mentioned endangered species is polar bears, but there are many other animals that are endangered as well.
